In 1937, Wakefield was baking cookies but ran out of baker's chocolate. Out of curiosity, she instead used semi-sweet chocolate as she correctly guessed that it would work just like baker's chocolate. Enjoy the day with some store bought or homemade chocolate chip cookies and pour a glass of milk.<o:p></o:p>National Coast Guard Day - On August 4th, 1790, Congress made an act to establish the U.S. Coast Guard to enforce international trade laws and support those in need of humanitarian aid. When the Coast Guard was founded, it consisted of 10 vessels only, and over the years, has grown to over 1400 active vessels.
