The Program Manager is responsible for the identification, planning and coordination of a set of related projects within a programme of business change, to manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies and objectives. They maintain a strategic view over the set of projects, providing the framework for implementing business initiatives, or large-scale change, by conceiving, maintaining and communicating a vision of the outcome of the programme and associated benefits. (The vision, and the means of achieving it, may change as the programme progresses). They are responsible for the agreement of business requirements, and translation of requirements into operational plans as well as the determination, monitoring, and review of programme scope, revenue, cost against the program budget, margin, schedule, programme resources, inter-dependencies and programme risk. They are involved in the development and promotion of the client portfolio, collaborating closely with the management team in strategic decisions and business development. Typically, they deliver large, high-profile projects and programs of work, with large budgets, establishing and maintaining the correct structures to control and monitor the deliverables to the business.
